چکیده

  Chi-Cheng Cheng and Jiun-Hung Chen   Department of Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical Engineering, National Sun Yat-Sen University, 70 Lian-Hai Road, Kaohsiung Taiwan 80424, Republic of China     Abstract: Telemanipulation is usually provided with the force-reflective feature to give human operators information about the remote site. However, oscillations can always been found in contact with rigid environment. This paper presents theoretical analysis about the phenomenon of the contact oscillation in rate-control manipulation using the describing function technique. Occurrence and characteristics of limit cycles due to contact motion are verified by results of computer simulations. Copyright © 2005 IFAC 

Analysis of virtual fixture contact stability for telemanipulation

A forbidden-region virtual fixture (FRVF) is a constraint, implemented in software, that keeps the slave manipulator of a master/slave telemanipulation system from entering into a forbidden region of the workspace. In this paper, we consider the problem of unstable vibrations of the slave against the FRVF for a general class of telemanipulator control architectures. The master and slave equilib...

Stable Forbidden-Region Virtual Fixtures for Bilateral Telemanipulation

There has been recent interest in novel human-machine collaborative control laws, called “virtual fixtures,” which provide operator assistance for telemanipulation tasks. A forbidden-region virtual fixture is a constraint, implemented in software, that seeks to prevent the slave manipulator of a master/slave telemanipulation system from entering into a forbidden region of the workspace. In this...

Virtual Fixtures for Bilateral Telemanipulation

This dissertation addresses three related topics in the application of virtual fixtures to bilateral telemanipulation systems. Bilateral telemanipulation is the direct human control of a remote robot, with force and/or tactile feedback, and virtual fixtures are guidance modes, implemented in software, that assist the user in accomplishing a telemanipulated task. The first topic addressed in thi...

Bilateral Telemanipulation with Guidance Virtual Fixtures

Pseudo-admittance is introduced as a novel bilateral telemanipulation system that is designed to mimic proportional-velocity admittance control on systems where the master is an impedance-type robot. The controller generalizes to systems with slave robots of the impedance or admittance type. Pseudo-admittance uses a proxy with admittance dynamics combined with direct force feedback from the sla...
